Thanks to the USDA June Milk Outlook, the milk production forecast for 2025 and 2026 were increased.

 

“For 2025, this is mainly just kicking off the latest milk production report, and that's driven by higher cow inventories and then into 2026, we're expecting to see some increase in milk per cow as well. Supporting that production increase,” said USDA World Agricultural Outlook Board chair Mark Jakanowski.

He noted consumer demand remains strong for butter domestically via imports; international via exports.

 

“Dairy demand remains strong and that is reflected in price strength across all of the major dairy products," Jakanowski said.

 

All of that culminating in a month-over-month increase in the All Milk Price forecast for both years.  Despite that, the year-over-year All Milk Price remains $0.65 lower, forecasted at $21.30 cwt in 2026. 

 

As far as Northwest milk prodution is concerns, Idaho reported a 6% year-over-year increase, while Oregon's numbers dropped 2.3% and Washington's fell 3.3%.  Here are the other numbers from the remaining 24 States:
