Due to the ongoing discussions between President Trump and members of Congress over funding for border security, the Federal Government is currently shutdown due to a lack of funding.  But, during a government shutdown, agencies that have funds appropriated in prior years that are carried forward can continue to serve customers until that money is used up.

 

As a result, FSA county offices will be remain open through Friday, December 28.  The FSA is encouraging producers, that need to visit their local FSA office to call ahead to ensure the office is open.

 

And as a quick reminder, signup for the Market Facilitation Program ends on January 15th.  Farmers have until May 1st to certify production.
