USDA has extended the application deadline for the Department’s Supplemental Disaster Relief Program, to September 30th.  More than $16 million in disaster relief payments will be available through the various stages of the program.

Under Secretary for Farm Production and Conservation Richard Fordyce said while stage One and Two signup has taken place over a longer period of time, the quality loss component of SDRP has been a recent offering.

“And this is all crops, Title I crops, trees, vines, bushes, just about anything that we grow in this country would be eligible,” Fordyce said.

With all covering qualifying losses for crop years 2023 and 2024.  Fordyce added producers can utilize an online calculator to determine quality loss percent.
