Drought Disaster Declared In Northern Idaho
USDA has designated Boundary County, Idaho, a primary natural disaster area due to drought, making farmers and ranchers eligible for available emergency federal loans. The assistance can help cover losses, replace equipment or livestock, reorganize farm operations, or refinance certain debts.
Producers in neighboring counties, such as Idaho's Bonner, Montana's Lincoln, or Washington's Pend Oreille are also eligible.
Those with questions are encouraged to visit their local FSA office. Applications for emergency loans through FSA are due June 21, 2027.
