According to NASS, honey production across the Pacific Northwest dropped roughly 14% from 2020 numbers.

Idaho's 2021 honey production, at 3.00 million pounds, was 20% lower year-over-year. There were 100,000 honey producing colonies, 7,000 lower than the previous year. The yield per colony averaged 30.0 pounds compared with 35.0 pounds per colony in 2020. Idaho's value of honey production, at $7.11 million, 8% higher than 2020.

Oregon's 2021 honey production, at 2.67 million pounds, was 3% lower than 2020. There were 86,000 honey producing colonies, 9,000 lower than the previous year. The yield per colony averaged 31.0 pounds compared with 29.0 pounds per colony in 2020.The value of Oregon's honey production hit $5.71 million, a 14% drop from 2020’s numbers.

Washington's 2021 honey production, at 3.07 million pounds, was 15% lower than 2020. There were 96,000 honey producing colonies, 2,000 lower than the previous year. The yield per colony averaged 32.0 pounds compared with 37.0 pounds per colony in 2020. Washington's value of honey production, at $7.74 million, was 15 percent lower than 2020.
