Lind Field Day Scheduled for Mid-June
Washington State University will hold its 103rd annual Lind Field Day June 13th. Growers from across the region can learn the latest research regarding wheat and pea varieties, soil health and improved practices for dryland areas.
Hosting a tour of the Lind Dryland Research Station, WSU and U.S. Department of Agriculture researchers will share updates on useful soil assessments for farmers; winter, club, and spring wheat breeding; winter pea varieties; and the use of biosolids for soil microbes and wheat agronomy.
Leaders from the College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences, the Washington State Legislature, and wheat and canola industry leaders will also provide research and industry updates at the field day, the best-attended of all field tours hosted statewide by WSU.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the field tour starting at 9 a.m. A complimentary lunch, program and ice cream social follow the field tour.
The Field Day is held at Lind Dryland Research Station, 781 E Experiment Station Road, Lind, WA. The Lind Field Day is free and open to the public. Washington pesticide re-certification credits have been requested.
