On Friday, the Ag Center of Excellence at Walla Walla Community College will host a farm to fork Forum focused on resiliency in the farming community.  WWCC’s Lindsey Williams says they will cover a wide variety of topics, including solutions for issues such as land scarcity.

“And then we’re also looking at food safety and health, particularly from the producers side.  We’re having someone come in from the Dairy Federation and from the Department of Ag rapid response team, so that’s going to be really great.  Then we’re going to end the day kind of on a solutions note, so we’re going to have a number of people come in and discuss what are the solutions for these issues, and what services are out there for producers.”

Williams said Friday’s forum is ideal for college educators, trade association members, primary producers, those with ports and in the transportation industry.  So what will make the all day event a success?

“I want to hear that people have really seen solutions for some of the things they might be struggling with on their own particular operations, I want to hear they were interested in the topics and that they had an opportunity to network with a lot of the people that are going to be there.”

Registration opens at 7 a.m. Friday which includes a breakfast.  To learn more, or to RSVP, E-mail Lindsey Williams or visit the Ag Center of Excellence's Facebook.
