WSU Hosting Little Cherry Field Day
Washington State University will host field day next week to for growers interested in staying ahead of the Little Cherry & X-disease infections in their orchards. The Tree Fruit Extension Center will hold the event Tuesday June 21st in Buena, WA. (46°26’24.3″N 120°18’43.0″W (46.440080, -120.311938)
Topics that will be discussed include:
- New experimental research projects on early detection: Canine LCD detection & Identification of LCD linked volatile biomarker
- Little cherry and X-disease epidemiology
- Scouting and sampling best practices
- Leafhopper monitoring and biology
- Insecticidal control of leafhoppers
- Replant strategies for X-disease infected orchards
