WSU Codling Moth Field Day Set For Later This Month

Washington State University is inviting tree fruit growers to get the latest strategies for fighting codling moth during the school's Codling Moth IPM Field Day.  The hands-on workshop will cover codling moth virus resistance, resistance management, banding techniques to control hot spots, and the latest research from WSU scientists.

 

WAZZU added growers will also see a live demonstration of a variable-rate sprayer and learn how the technology can improve pesticide applications.

 

The Field Day takes place July 31st, at the WSU Smart Orchard in Moxee.  The free event begins at 10 a.m., with preregistration set for 9:30 a.m.  WSU added two Washington pesticide recertification credits will be offered.
