The state of Washington is drying out, while Oregon is holding steady.  73% of Washington is considered Abnormally Dry for this time of year.  While is a considerable increase from last week’s 35%.  Roughly 4% of the state, in North Central Washington, is under the DI or Moderate Drought classification.  In fact, the only portion of Washington is normal is the south east corner of the state, stretching from Yakima to the Lewiston/Clarkston Valley and up to Spokane.

Things have slightly improved in Oregon, where 82% of the state is Abnormally Dry; 39% is under a Moderate Drought; but none of the state is under a Severe Drought warning.
