As Washington State University’s College of Agriculture, Human and Natural Resources starts its first full year with new dean Raj Khosla, the dean has specific goals for the year ahead.  The Cashup Davis Family Endowed Dean said the more he listens to staff and stakeholders, the more excited about what the future looks like for CAHNRS.

“Ultimately, my intent is to make CAHNRS and WSU Extension more accessible, nimble, and responsible, responsible and responsive to the needs and challenges of the people whom we serve in the state of Washington and in this region,” he said.

Khosla said with the current challenges and current budgetary situations before the College and the University, partnerships are going to be even more important in 2026 and moving forward.

“Together, we can make a difference," Khosla said.  "And that's exactly what I would like my colleagues, my stakeholders across the state of Washington, that we will work together to be more productive, more efficient, more profitable, and more sustainable in improving the lives and livelihoods of the people who matter.”

Khosla said that means working more with industry and the boots on the ground to ensure that solutions are site-specific and operationally feasible.
