Sugarbeet growers from across the Northwest will be in Boise Thursday, for the 2025 University of Idaho Snake River Sugarbeet Conference.  The events is in conjunction with the Amalgamated Sugar Company annual meeting, Friday December 5th.

“Sugarbeet School is just a great opportunity for growers to come and hear the latest on what's happening in terms of research and technology," said Samantha Parrott is the Executive Director for the Snake River Sugarbeet Growers Association.  "I know they're going to have a speaker talking about succession planning and how to handle that. So, that is always just a wonderful opportunity for growers to continue education and learn.”

Parrott added the Amalgamated Sugar Annual Shareholder Meeting is also beneficial for growers to learn how the processor, and co-op are faring.  She added she will also provide a local update at the ASA meeting.

Both Thursday’s Sugarbeet Conference  and Friday’s ASA meeting will take place at the Boise Center.
