While final numbers aren’t available just yet, this year’s Sugarbeet crop looks to be a very good one.

Last week, the Idaho State Department of Agriculture announced a 51% reduction in the quagga mussel impacted area of the Snake River near Twin Falls.

Ag education and outreach will take center stage in the Treasure Valley Wednesday, as the Caldwell/Nampa Chambers Agri Business Committee will host an “Elected Officials and Media” Ag tour.

“I think we're going to have really great yields," Parrott said. "Our tonnage in sugar is looking really good so far. So, growers should be very happy."

It's a big day for sugarbeet farmers in Salem, where they’ll be connecting with policymakers and discussing what really matters for their industry.
