The 2025 season was a good one for sugarbeet growers across the Northwest, with very strong yields reported. So, what was different this year, that led to a crop Samantha Parrott described as 'massive'?
The 2025 sugarbeet harvest is underway, not only in the Northwest, but across the nation. As of Sunday the 14th, 8% of the national crop had been harvested.
In this tight farm economy, producers want to get the most out of every input. Adam Cowser, Producer Manger at Valent BioSciences, said biostimulants are a great way for farmers to stretch their dollar.
“I think we're going to have really great yields," Parrott said. "Our tonnage in sugar is looking really good so far. So, growers should be very happy."
