The University of Idaho’s Day at Parma will take place later this week.  The event starts Thursday morning with registration and breakfast at 7:15 a.m. at the Parma Research and Extension Center.  Field tours and speaker presentations will kick off at 8 a.m. and run until lunchtime. 

 

Tour topics will include: 

  • Impact of biochar on beans
  • Verticillium Wilt in potatoes
  • Cercospora Leaf Spot and Fungicide Resistance in Sugarbeets
  • Onion Diseases
  • Pest and Disease Monitoring
  • Dianostics
  • Cover crops on pests and beneficial insects in hops
  • The effect of straw mulch on ground beetles in potatoes
  • IPM Demonstration Field Day 

 

Pesticide credits through both the Idaho State Department of Agriculture as well as the Oregon Department of Agriculture will be available.
