University of Idaho's Parma Field Day Set For Thursday

The University of Idaho’s Day at Parma will take place later this week. The event starts Thursday morning with registration and breakfast at 7:15 a.m. at the Parma Research and Extension Center. Field tours and speaker presentations will kick off at 8 a.m. and run until lunchtime.

Tour topics will include:

Impact of biochar on beans
Verticillium Wilt in potatoes
Cercospora Leaf Spot and Fungicide Resistance in Sugarbeets
Onion Diseases
Pest and Disease Monitoring
Dianostics
Cover crops on pests and beneficial insects in hops
The effect of straw mulch on ground beetles in potatoes
IPM Demonstration Field Day

Pesticide credits through both the Idaho State Department of Agriculture as well as the Oregon Department of Agriculture will be available.
