Thanks to the coronavirus pandemic, the Columbia Basin Development League’s annual meeting will be online this year. Vicky Scharlau said they hope this virtual event will draw in a larger crowd. And to make the meeting more attractive, she noted they’ve tried to make it as user-friendly as possible.

“[You can] get great insight into the League’s work, the inner structure of the League, and also to understand more about what it takes to operate the League and what our priorities are for 2021 because we will be hitting those,” Scharlau noted.

She added there will also be guest speakers, including Rob Curley from the Spokesman-Review whom Scharlau called a very talented, energetic and colorful speaker. Scharlau said the meeting will also cover League business, such as honoring board members, and a board emeritus; along with elections and a budget review.

“We’re going to spend ensuring that our base level of support across the country because we do have people from outside the state of Washington that support the efforts to support the Columbia Basin Project.”

Thursdays meeting runs from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Click Here to learn more or to register.
