The Oregon State Police Fish and Wildlife Division is asking for your help after a collared wolf from eastern Oregon’s Desolation Pack was found dead in Grant County.

 

Investigators said the male wolf was discovered May 18th near Desolation Meadow, northwest of Olive Lake, with an apparent gunshot wound.  Officials believe the wolf was shot sometime between late May 14th-May15th, possibly from a nearby roadway.

 

Rewards of over $11,000 are available for information that leads to an arrest, including up to $600 through the Oregon Hunters Association, and $10,000-$11,500 via the Oregon Wildlife Coalition.
