Male Wolf Removed From Couse Pack
Washington wildlife officials say they’ve lethally removed an adult male wolf from the Couse pack in the southeast corner of the state.
The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife authorized removing one or two wolves September 11th, following repeated cattle depredations. WDFW Director Kelly Susewind says the removal is consistent with the state’s Wolf Conservation and Management Plan.
The Department will now enter an evaluation period. If additional livestock depredations occur, the agency may recommend further action.
