Idaho potato growers are being warned today to be on the look out for late blight, as spores continue to be detected, despite weather conditions that do not suggest a risk.

 

Meanwhile, sugarbeet growers have been warned that Cercospora spores continue to be detected.�� Growers have been told to continue fungicide programs where the disease is present and be on the lookout for any increases in humidity and ensure your crop is protected during those periods.

 

In addition, sugarbeet growers should also watch out for powdery mildew.  The disease is present and spores at a similar level to previous weeks.  Hop Downy Mildew spores have been detected but model suggests conditions below action threshold.

 

And onion growers have been told to keep an eye out for downy mildew spores, but weather not conducive.  Less Stemphylium spores detected this week suggesting reduced risk.
