Doug Gore Selected for Legends Induction

Chateau Ste. Michelle’s long-time winemaker and leader Doug Gore will be inducted in the Legends of Washington Wine Hall of Fame at The Clore Center this summer.

Executive Director of The Clore Center Abbey Cameron said Gore was an easy choice.

“He’s an excellent winemaker and he’s crafted wines that I think have helped support the consumer palette and helped the consumer palette grow and he’s hit some marks that people have enjoyed not just within Washington but on a much bigger level nationwide.”

Gore also believed in helping the next generation according Cameron, by mentoring them so that all of Washington could improve.

Cameron said that all of the people in the industry who nominated Gore just gushed over him.

“He has earned tons of respect for his manner, his style, his knowledge and his willingness to share. I think that’s really valuable and a huge asset to the industry.”

The induction ceremony takes place August 11^th and tickets, when they go on sale, will be able to be purchased through TheCloreCenter.org.
