The Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide.

In its inaugural campaign, the Clore Center pledges to raise $2,000 for their events and programs that promote the Washington wine and agriculture industry. Occurring this year on November 28th, #GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, following the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This global campaign kicks off the holiday giving season and inspires people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.

The Clore Center has operated for nearly three years as Washington's Wine Center, in the birthplace of Washington wine. #GivingTuesday is just one of the many fundraising initiatives the Clore Center has implemented to support their efforts to promote the industry.

"Every day the Clore Center shares the story of Washington wine with consumers and industry guests. Anyone can participate in #GivingTuesday - it's a great way to show that your voice, and generosity of all sizes can go a long way. Donations allow us to create new programs, reach new markets, and better showcase the bounty of Washington wine and agriculture," says executive director, Abbey Cameron.

The Clore Center will be accepting #GivingTuesday donations via the campaign website through midnight on November 28, 2017.
