"But we thought is was so popular that we're continuing in November and December through the end of the year," Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue recently announced there will be a 4th round of Farmers to Families which he calls a Win-Win-Win  program.

First, Perdue noted the program helped farmers find a home for their products after restaurant and food service operations closed or cut operations. USDA has been buying food to go in millions of food boxes and Perdue says the program is a win of course for food distributors.

"Because they could put people back to work those trucks that fill up, they were the ones who were serving restaurants and colleges and schools that were no longer open. And then obviously the biggest win was the people who had lost their jobs or needed food for their families."

So far, over 110 million food boxes have been delivered, with more going out every day.
