2016 has proven a good year for Northwest cherry growers.  As of August 4th the Northwest Cherry industry has shipped nearly 20.8 million boxes of fresh fruit.  That figures makes 2016 the third largest crop, on record.  Only 2014  and 2012  recorded higher figures.

July was particularly strong for Northwest Cherry growers, with just over 7.7 million boxes shipped.  The 2016 cherry season is expected to wrap up within the next couple of weeks.
