The Washington Apple Education Foundation is now accepting submissions for their annual “Year of the Apple” art contest.

 

The contest is open to high school students from nine Central Washington counties; Adams, Benton, Chelan, Douglas, Franklin, Kittitas, Okanogan, Walla Walla and Yakima, and is offering a grand prize of $1,000.

 

There are three prizes in total with second place winning $500 and third takes home $250.

 

The guideline: Artwork must depict real Washington apples! Original artwork only, sized no smaller than 8.5"x11" and no larger than 11"x17". Traditional media only, no photographs or digital images, wormy fruit is discouraged and entries should not contain advertising or slogans.
