WAEF Awards Year of the Apple Art Winner

A graduate of Sunnyside High School has won $1,000 for his drawing in the Washington Apple Education Foundation’s Year of the Apple art contest sponsored by Dow AgroSciences.

Esteban Garibay will also have his drawing of a Granny Smith apple featured in Dow’s calendars it distributes throughout the industry.

Garibay was the second place winner in the contest last year.

Cyrille Villas from Richland High School was awarded second place and Madison Colvin third in this year’s contest.
