The Washington Apple Education Foundation has a new Executive Director. Dr. Faviola Barbosa said she's looking forward to working alongside a great team to provide scholarships to those students interested in pursuing higher education.

​"I'm exited to be working with an amazing team, and look forward in growing and strengthening the mission of access to higher education.  I've worked in higher education for over 18 years and it's always been my passion to be able to promote higher education and help students access that."

Dr. Barbosa will work with outgoing executive director Jennifer Witherbee over the next few weeks. Witherbee served as the executive director of WAFE for 20 years.
