Supporting The Next Generation Of American Ag
Syngenta recently announced the Durastak Traits of Tomorrow Scholarship.
“The Durastak Traits of Tomorrow scholarship is really designed to support full-time students pursuing studies in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or agriculture-related fields," said Matt Dolch, the corn product manager for Syngenta. "It's all about Syngenta’s commitment to investing in that next generation of ag leaders who help shape the future of farming, and when we think about that, we're excited, certainly, to offer this. Through the program, we're not only providing financial support, but we're also recognizing those students who are passionate about advancing agriculture through innovation.”

Connect To Today's Cutting-Edge Technology
Dolch talked about how the scholarship connects to the Durastak trait technology.
“Durastak trait technology represents the next generation of corn trait innovation, so with a focus on delivering durable long-term protection against corn rootworm, it's a natural fit here with this scholarship opportunity," Dolch noted. "The scholarship ties directly to that future-focused mindset by supporting students who will carry that innovation forward. So, really, when we think about the scholarship again, it's about connecting today's cutting-edge technology with tomorrow's student leaders, who will continue to push the industry ahead.”
He said it’s important to Syngenta that they invest in programs like this.
“Agriculture is evolving very quick, and very, very fast, and the industry depends on that next generation to bring new ideas and new solutions to the table for, again, everyone involved," Dolch said. "Supporting those students today helps ensure that we've got the talents and the expertise needed to meet future challenges, whether that's pest pressure, sustainability, and productivity. Here at Syngenta, as an employee, and a proud employee here at Syngenta, we see this as an investment not only in the individuals but in the long-term success of agriculture as a whole.”

Looking For Those Passionate About Agriculture
The scholarship program is open to U.S. residents 18 and older and those who are pursuing a degree in STEM.
“Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, and-or agriculture," Dolch said. "Eligible students include high school seniors planning to enroll full-time at a college, university, or graduate program, as well as current college or graduate students enrolled at institutions in eligible states, and those include Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, or Wisconsin. That would be the full list. We're really looking for individuals who demonstrate a strong passion for agriculture, leadership potential, and a commitment to advancing the industry."
