The dairy industry will take center stage in Madison, Wisconsin for the 51st World Dairy Expo Tuesday through Saturday.  Show-goers will take part in cattle shows, farm seminars, virtual farm tours and a trade show that will feature more than 800 exhibits.

Kristin Olson is with the World Dairy Expo, and says it’s all about the cattle.

“Well over 1,700 owners exhibiting almost 2,500 head of cattle, and the scope is huge, it ranges in 35 states and nine provinces in Canada, so we’re really looking forward to hosting a another world wide event.”

Nearly 75,000 people visited the grounds last year, representing countries all around the world.

“And you can also see that in our youth contests as well, we see not only North America but our showmanship contest also had exhibitors from Europe too last year, so it is certainly is a worldwide event and we’re really excited to see it take shape in 2017 again.”

Besides the cattle, a huge must-see is the 800-plus stops of the indoor-outdoor trade show.
