Washington DNR Hosting Fuel Reduction Workshops
The Washington State Department of Natural Resources will hold two free workshops this month for contractors interested in working on fuel reduction projects with private landowners.
DNR said both workshops will focus on the Department’s Service Forestry Program, which works with private landowners to complete forest health and wildfire mitigation work on their properties. Many of these projects, DNR added, are eligible for cost-share funding.
The first workshop is Thursday, February 12th, 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Klickitat PUD Goldendale Office.
The second workshop is scheduled for Thursday February 19th, at Wenatchee Valley Fire Department Station 4, again from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
There is no cost to attend, but pre-registration is preferred. To RSVP or for questions, E-mail DNR. A virtual option will be available for those who are unable to attend in person.
