Washington Asparagus Growers Permitted To Use Warrior II
Washington State University announced Tuesday that the state Department of Agriculture has granted the asparagus industry Section 18 emergency exemption for Warrior II to control European asparagus aphid. The European asparagus aphid is a small blue-green to gray-green aphid about 1.5 mm in length. The aphid is often covered with a powdery wax.
The exemption covers asparagus growers in Adams, Benton, Franklin, Grant, Klickitat, Walla Walla dn Yakima counties. Applicators that decided to use Warrior II must have a label from Syngenta at the time of application.
