Warmer Temperatures Expected As Northwest Welcomes Fall

As the Inland Northwest prepares to say goodbye to Summer Thursday, temperatures are expected to climb.  Dennis Hull with the National Weather Service told the Washington Ag Network temperatures this week have been slightly below average, but that will change in the coming days.

“We’ve got a warming trend for this weekend to early next week, and that looks like it’s going to push temperatures actually above normal, so we’re going to see some highs into the 80s.  Of course with the longer nights the overnight temperatures will drop back in to the 40s and 50s.”

Hull added we could see showers in the next 24 hours, but overall the region should be dry for the next couple of weeks.  Hull said our soil moisture readings are low, which is to be expected for this time of year.
