WAEF Supports Farmworker Education Programs

The Washington Apple Education Foundation has given $16,500 to various groups who focus on farmworker education as their outreach.

Grace Presbyterian Church and Friends of Buena [bew-en-uh] Library each received awards to help with their ESL programs.

La Casa Hogar and Hand in Hand, Missio Dei received funding to expand their citizenship programs.

The largest gift was given to the Literacy Council of Chelan and Douglas Counties for their one-on-one and group literacy programs.
