The USDA is scheduled to release a slew of crop forecasts, including one for the corn and soybean crop Friday morning.

“Really not expecting any big changes that crop seems to be pretty well set at this point," noted USDA Outlook chairman Mark Jekanowsk.  But the market demand for that crop, he said, is not set at this point.  Jekanowsk added his group is gathering as many clues as they can.

“Watching export sales data for these commodities.  Seeing quite a bit of strength, especially for corn lately. Also, we've seen, a little bit of increase overtime and sales of U.S. soybeans to China which got off to a very slow start and are starting to pick up.”

USDA is going to be forecasting not only crop supplies here and around the world, but also U.S. exports and even season average prices for the major commodities.  This data deluge comes out Friday morning, 9 a.m. Pacific Time.
