Part of the USDA’s Organic Dairy Product Promotion Program works to expand access of organic dairy products within schools and youth programs across the county.

“It provides $15 million to expand access to organic dairy products," said the USDA’s Jenny Moffitt.  "We were excited to announce it up in Vermont in October for a National Farm to School Month.”

ODPP targets K-12 schools, colleges and universities as well as community youth programs and facilities through region specific projects coordinated by four lead entities within USDA's Dairy Business Innovation Initiative.

“The DBIs are really well equipped at this point as they've been established connecting with dairy producers in their regions as well as also market opportunities," Moffitt added.
