The new USDA agricultural price report for December shows some price recovery from a year ago for several commodities.  Agriculture Secretary Sunny Perdue said three years of low prices because of huge crops creating an overabundance around the world, has created a lot of stress for farm families.

“The new price report for December seems to verify that for some products”

-Wheat Prices averaging 4-51 a bushel up 61-cents from a year ago
-Cotton averaged 68-cents a pound up a cent from a year ago
-Cattle averaged 118-dollars up 7-dollars from a year ago

But the news wasn't all positive:

-Corn Prices averaged 3-23 a bushel down 9 cents from a year ago
-Soybeans averaged 9-30 a bushel down 34 cents lower from a year ago
-Milk averaged 17.20 down 1-dollar 72 cents from a year ago
