Slight Chance of Snow Continues To Linger

Weather across the Inland Northwest has been relatively quiet to start January, but that could change in the next couple of days.  Marilyn Lohmann with the National Weather Service told the Washington Ag Network the next weather system will make it’s presence known in the next few hours.

“The system on Thursday should bring valley rain and some high mountain snow, with those snow elevations around 5,000 to 6,000 feet.  There could also be some strong winds with this system but temperatures will be on the mild side with highs in the 40s to around 50, and lows in the 30s.”

Lohmann noted the weather pattern will calm down this weekend with partly sunny skies.  But she said the next system, which could bring snow to some of the lower elevations will make landfall early next week.
