Rural America Asked To Vote This Tuesday

The American Farm Bureau Federation is encouraging rural residents to vote Tuesday.  Randy Dwyer, AFBF advocacy and grassroots development director, said a vote Tuesday means rural voices will be heard.

“It’s extremely important that folks who live in rural America take the time and exercise the right to vote because, if we don’t do that an make our voices heard, concerns and issues that are near and dear to folks in rural communities will not be heard in local government, state government or at the federal level.”

I Farm, I Vote, and Vote for Ag, are two Farm Bureau campaigns to spread the word about the importance of voting in the midterm elections.

“Many states have used the I Farm, I Vote, or a similar slogan, to try and educate their members about the candidates out there.  Many of our Farm Bureau members have received something in the mail, about a voter guide, and who is an endorsed candidate in their area.  Again, this helps to identify candidates that are worthy of our vote.”
