Oregon State University researchers received a $3 million grant to help fund research into expanding commercial operations as world demand has exceeded supply.

The research will focus on pest and disease management, particularly the eastern filbert blight, among other things.

The grant was part of a total of $36 million given by the USDA through the Specialty Crop Research and Extension Investment program.

You can find out more about the project on NIFA's website in either a brief or full breakdown.
