This time of year, it seems like Pumpkin Spice is everywhere.  But the Oregon Farm Bureau is encouraging you to go to the source to enjoy the real thing.

Pumpkins, apples, pears, and squash are just a few examples of autumn’s agricultural bounty.  But, determining where farmers are that sell directly to consumers can be challenging.  To help, the Oregon farm Bureau has its Oregon Bounty website, a searchable directory of nearly 300 family farms and ranches that sell directly to the public.  The website, which is smartphone friendly, allows visitors to search for specific ag products, such as pumpkins or apples, and even search in a specific region.

“Oregonians love farm-fresh food. Thanks to the diversity of Oregon agriculture, we can buy an enormous variety of fruits, vegetables, meat, dairy products, nuts, and flowers directly from the families who grew it,” said OFB’s Anne Marie Moss.

“Each of the farms listed in Oregon’s Bounty are owned and operated by Farm Bureau members, who are proud of what they’ve raised and are happy to answer questions about what they do,” Moss added. “Fall is an ideal time to take a trip into the scenic countryside, meet a few of these family farmers, and experience Oregon agriculture firsthand.”
