The Oregon Department of Agriculture will host an Outbound Trade Mission to Japan this July.  During the trip, participant swill visit Japan’s two largest metro areas, Tokyo and Osaka, to meet with buyers.  With a population of over 123 million and one of the world's largest economies, Japan is one of the largest export markets for Oregon food and agricultural products.  In addition to the two primary stops, an optional additional stop will be offered for Sapporo, giving participants a chance to see the food and beverage ecosystem next to Japan’s leading agriculture region.  The market demonstrates continued demand for safe, healthy, and high-quality foods.

The ODA says there are a variety of reasons to attend this trade mission:

  • Meet one-on-one with Japanese buyers looking for high-quality U.S. products.
  • Learn about key regional markets within Japan.
  • Participate in market briefings, facility tours, and retail tours.
  • Interpreters will be provided
  • Market briefing by USDA and market tours
  • Hotel and ground transportation between cities will both be arranged and included in the price listed below *

*LIMIT: One representative per company – additional company delegates may participate at their own expense.
