According to NASS, the value of pollination across the Northwest in 2017 increased to $16.7 million.  This year, paid pollinated acres increased 2.9% among apples, but dropped in other tree fruit categories, including cherries by 3.3%, pears which dropped by 14.8% and peaches which fell 29.3%.  As far as berries are concerned, paid pollinated acres increased 1.4% this year.

 

When looking at all Northwest crops, which includes melons and clover, paid pollinated acres increased by 2.0%, and the total value of pollination increased 13.9% to $16.7 million.
