The number of hop acres in the Northwest continues to increase. According to NASS acreage increased 5% from last year, with a total of 59,174 acres strung across Washington, Oregon and Idaho for 2020.

Washington leads the region with 42,343 hop acres, which accounts for 72% of the total United States acreage. Growers in Idaho strung 9,374 acres for harvest, or 16% of total U.S. production. In Oregon, 7,457 hop acres were reported.

NASS says year-over-year acreage increased in all three states.
