The Northwest continues to dry out.

The state of Oregon continues to take the brunt of this dry weather. Currently, 26% of the state is under a D3, or Extreme Drought designation, while 4% is a D4, or Exceptional Drought. In fact the entire state is dealing with some kind of drought condition currently.

Meanwhile, in Washington nearly 20% under a Severe Drought, or D2 designation. Only 13% of the Evergreen State is where it should be soil moisture wise for this time of year.

In Idaho, the D2 designation has spread in the southern and eastern part of the state. Less than 12% of Idaho is where is should be for this time of the year.
