Latest figures, from NOAA, show roughly 3% of Washington is under a D1 “Moderate Drought” designation.  Much coming in the southeastern part of the state.  That is much better than this time last year, when all of Washington was not only under a D1 designation, but the entire state was also under the D2 “Severe Drought” designation.

The state of Oregon is much drier by comparison.  Nearly 50% of the state is under the D1 designation.  Again, that figure is much better than July 2015, when 83% of Oregon was designated “Severe Drought”.
