NASS: It’s Not Too Late To Complete The Census
NASS is reminding all farmers it’s not too late to turn in your completed Ag Census form.
“Basically, we’d like farmers to get it in as quickly as possible preferably before the end of April.”
Greg Bussler with NASS said currently the national return rate is around 50% and climbing. And while that’s good, he stressed, the better the response, the stronger the data is which in turn is good news for producers. Bussler added the Census represents all commodities, regardless of size or market share.
“The data would not be available if it weren’t for the census. Some of these commodities include bison, elk, deer, Christmas trees, ginseng, grapes, horses and meat goats.”
