Tree Fruit Production Expected To Lower Nationwide

What’s the expectation of this year’s tree fruit crops?  According to Anthony Prillaman with Nass:

“Apple production is forecast at 10.4 billion pounds. That is down 6% from last season. Production in Washington, which is the largest apple-producing state, is expected to be down 2% this year.

"Pear production in 2026 is expected to be down 14.8% from last year.”

"[When it comes to] cranberries, production is estimated to be up 4.8% compared with last year. Production in Wisconsin is up 4% and represents 61% of total U.S. production.”

“U.S. grape production is estimated at 5.17 million tons. That is down 1.3% from 2025.”

"And peach production is forecast to be down 14.7% year-over-year."
