AgInsights Looks To Help Producers Interact With Ag Stats

As part of the Department’s effort to modernize data, USDA is out with a new dissemination tool for NASS.

“AgInsights, whenever we release a new report, will have tabular data, charts, and maps all into one single web-based interface," noted NASS Administrator Joseph Parsons. "And you can filter that and you can change it around if you want to export that into a spreadsheet for yourself or even embed that graphic. So, you've got a lot of added interactivity making Or maybe you just want to filter it down to your state or your area.”

Parsons added AgInsights combines tabular data, charts, and maps into a single web interface.

“We want to make sure that we're engaging with producers and making it easy to find the data that they need. And that's really what this Ag Insights is about.”

USDA says other highlights of AgInsights include dynamic visualizations, producer-centric tools, quick stats integration and a reduction of complexity.
