May 1st Final Day For Nursery Growers To File for Crop Insurance Coverage
Wednesday, May 1st is the final day nursery growers in Washington Oregon and Idaho can apply for crop insurance coverage. Current policy holder looking to make changes to their existing coverage also have until May 1st to make any changes. According to RMA, all applications, including those for new or amended coverage are subject to a 30-day waiting period before coverage begins.
A list of crop insurance agents is available at all USDA Service Centers and on-line on the RMA’s Website.
Growers can also use the RMA Cost Estimator to get a premium amount estimate of their insurance needs.
