Linn County To Host Carbon Market Workshop

OSU-Extension will host a workshop later this month looking at soil carbon market opportunities that exist for grass seed producers.  The event will take place Wednesday February 19th at the Linn County Fair and Expo Center in Albany.  Topics include an overview of soil carbon cycling, farming practices and soil carbon, as well as the latest on NRCS’ Cost Share Programs.

In addition, the keynote presentation will be delivered by Dr. Lauren Gifford, Associate Director of the Soil Carbon Solutions Center At Colorado State university.  She will share her expertise in carbon markets and offsets, climate finance as well as climate tech.
