KID Announces Water Shutoff Date

Kennewick Irrigation District has announced the water cutoff date for the 2016 season will be Monday, October 17^th.

KID usually reaches the limit of water they are permitted to divert from the Yakima River sometime in the first half of October.

Starting on the 17^th, KID will run their baseline testing of the canals to seepage and look for any problems.

If you use KID, you are reminded that after the 17^th, it is important to winterize your irrigation systems to help prevent cracking and breakage during the winter.
